Knickers- Fairy Garden

Knickers is a base (50% merino/ 50% silk). It is a “single”. That is, the merino and the silk have been blended but no additional twist has been applied.
It is the softest, silkiest and most lustrous of yarns and it takes colour wonderfully.
It is not the yarn for socks, mitts and other hard-wearing items.
BUT for hats, scarves, shawls, cowls and other next to skin items, it is a cloud!
100 gram skeins with 170 metres in each skein.
Fairy Garden is a colour family.
I dye in batches of 6 and no two batches are the same.
Similar but not identical.
